HISTORY

 

Steve was born in a cold water tenement in the South Bronx of New York City.
Later settling with his family in Staten Island.

Steve got his first taste of acting in Ms. Burrows 2nd grade class as the Cowardly Lion in "The Wizard Of Oz".

Early in his stage career Steve worked some of the greats in the NY theatre,

like the PEN & Pulitzer Prize award winning writer Norman Mailer in his play "Strawheadw/David Marguiles as well as "The Yellow Dog Contract"

w/Sally Kirkland, Marty Shakar all at The Actors Studio.
He also studied with Shelley Winters & Penney Allen at The Actors Studio.

Steve worked with award-winning mentors at the Circle Rep Lab as a "lab rat"!.

Steve worked with the finest NY actors, writers and directors like Michael Warren Powell, Jack Davidson, Doug Hughes...to name a few.

Steve worked at The 42 Street Workshop with award-winning actors/mentors

like David Bailey, Allan Knee, Michelle Brousard, Sam Schact, Joy Behar..

Steve audited MFA classes at New York University's prestigious

Tisch School of the Arts wh Marketta Kimbrall, Joe Warfeild & Garry Garrison in an award winning short film.


Steve also studied at Columbia University's School of the Arts in NYC with the great Lenore DeKovens & Peter Miner.

Steve worked at the legendary Herbert Berghof Studio in Greenwich Village with Anne Jackson and currently with Donna deMatteo.


Steve is also as a weekly reader in The Naked Angels 'TAN' series...invited by one of the founding members where he continues to work and hone his craft today!

Steve has worked the Northeast Corridor in feature films, television and commercials. and continues to do so today!
